FINAL OFFICIAL PLAN ADOPTED BY COUNCIL

With amalgamation of the County into a single tier municipality on January 1, 2001, comes the need for a new Official Plan to consolidate and update the official plans of the former Town of Simcoe, City of Nanticoke, Township of Delhi, Township of Norfolk and the Regional Municipality of Haldimand Norfolk (as it relates to Norfolk).

The Final Official Plan adopted by Council, incorporating Council's direction, is available. The plan has been forwarded to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for approval.

Secondary Plan and Community Design Guidelines (Issued for Council Adoption),
September 28, 2009

The Secondary Plan and Community Design Guidelines (Issued for Council Adoption) for the Lakeshore Special Policy Area complement the new Norfolk Official Plan while providing more detailed planning and land use guidance for the waterfront. The documents have been revised and updated to reflect the comments received from the Community Information Session on August 14, 2009 and the Statutory Public Meeting on August 25, 2009. The Council meeting will be held on October 13, 2009.
